Krone Consulting s.r.o. is the contracting provider of Mermaid under the Terms and Conditions, unless an order confirmation names a different merchant or an app store acts as merchant of record for a purchase.

2. Contract and customer contact

Questions about accounts, subscriptions, invoices, consumer rights and support: info@mermaid.navy. Include the account email and any order reference; never send passwords, card details or identity documents.

3. Privacy contact

Privacy requests: info@mermaid.navy, subject "Privacy request". The competent supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk; you may also contact the authority in the country where you live or work. Details in the Privacy Notice.

4. Digital Services Act contact

Notices about allegedly illegal community content: subject "DSA notice". Moderation reviews: subject "Moderation review". Communications from Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services: subject "DSA authority communication". All to info@mermaid.navy or by post to the registered office. Languages: English and Slovak; Croatian, German and Italian notices are accepted. The Digital Services Coordinator of Slovakia is the Council for Media Services (Rada pre mediálne služby, Palisády 36, 811 06 Bratislava, rms.sk). Details in the Acceptable Use, Community Content and DSA Policy.

5. Security contact

Suspected vulnerabilities or security incidents: info@mermaid.navy, subject "Security". Please give us a reasonable time to investigate and fix before publishing; do not access, modify or exfiltrate other users' data while testing.

6. Consumer complaints and alternative dispute resolution

Send a complaint first to info@mermaid.navy with the order or account reference and the resolution you seek; we answer within 30 days. A consumer who is not satisfied may submit the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution body under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll.; the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, Ústredný inšpektorát, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, soi.sk) is both the supervisory authority for consumer protection and an ADR body, and other bodies are listed by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. Consumers in another EU country may contact the European Consumer Centre in their country. The former European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer a complaint channel. Nothing here limits your right to go to court.

7. Withdrawal from online contracts

A consumer's 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract, its exceptions for digital content and services that have started with the consumer's consent, and the model withdrawal form are in Terms §12. Paid Mermaid plans are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whose refund procedures apply to those purchases.

8. Editorial and community responsibility

Krone is responsible for the editorial content it publishes. Community ratings, observations and reports are submitted by users and governed by the Acceptable Use, Community Content and DSA Policy. Community information is not official navigation or safety information; report allegedly illegal or unsafe content through the channels above.

9. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the Mermaid software, design, text, trademarks, database selection and original content are owned by Krone or licensed to it. Third-party map, weather, bathymetry, boat, image and app-store materials remain the property of their rights holders and are attributed in Data sources and credits. No content may be copied, scraped, republished or commercially reused except as permitted by law, an applicable licence or written permission.

10. Maritime limitation

Mermaid is planning, coordination, evidence and assistance software. It is not a certified primary navigation, official chart, weather-warning, distress, collision-avoidance or anchor-watch system. The skipper remains responsible for official sources, onboard instruments, lookout, local rules, vessel condition and crew safety. 11. External links and providers

External links and third-party services are provided for convenience and are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. A link is not an endorsement or a guarantee. App store, payment, map and weather providers act independently for some processing.

12. Applicable documents

Business customers also receive the Data Processing Addendum and a signed order. Prior versions of every document are available on request.
